Josh Brent's Return Newspaper Article

#dfwnews #dfw #dallas

There was an opinion article in the Dallas Morning News this weekend recommending that former Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent not be allowed to play in the future, even if the NFL commissioner says it's okay. This article was well written and while I disagree with some of the reasons why Josh Brent should not return to the Cowboys team, I do believe he will be suiting up soon - simply because Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett want him to.

Should Gov. Rick Perry Resign Poll

#dfwnews #dfw #dallas

For the past couple of days, the CBS affiliate in Dallas / Fort Worth has been running a poll on their website asking whether or not Governor Rick Perry should resign. So far, about 60% of the respondents have said yes, while 40% say no. Of course, this poll is not scientific, but honestly I am surprise there is not more support for Gov. Perry in one of our state's largest population centers.

20-Years Since Last Cowboys Super Bowl

The last time the Dallas Cowboys played in a Super Bowl game - I was many pounds lighter, had more hair on the top of my head and Barry Switzer took Jimmy Johnson's team to the Super Bowl. It's hard to believe that it has been almost 20-years since 'America's Team' played in the Super Bowl. Like most of you, I have high hopes the Cowboys will return to the big game, soon. However, as long as Jerry Jones remains in charge – I just don't see that happening.

Moderation Needed In The World Today

It seems like everywhere you look these days there are two opinions to every news story with television talking heads trying to spin the real truth into their political point of view. Over my 50+ years of life, I have seen this only get worse. There use to be moderation in the DFW area and other parts of Texas, but now all many Texans desire is to pick one side and then stand on principle until hell freezes over. Right now, moderation is an endangered species.

Lehmberg Not Perry Should Go To Jail

Like many other Texans, I have followed the story of Rosemary Lehmberg ever since she was arrested on DWI charges. It's an outrage she did not resign her office after she spent time in jail. Gov. Rick Perry did the right thing by taking money away from the 'public integrity division' of her office and now he is being punished for doing the right thing. It's time for Rosemary Lehmberg to either resign or by legally removed from her office.

Dallas Cowboys Lose Again Saturday

I know that popular wisdom says that preseason games don't count in the big picture and while that is correct, when teams like the Dallas Cowboys keep on losing when the regular season begins that is a problem. I personally believe that winning football games even during the preseason - leads to regular season wins, as well.

Fans & Jerry Jones On Different Pages

Like in so many years past, 2014 is beginning to shape up with Dallas Cowboys fans on one side and owner Jerry Jones on the other. Douglas Leguin Insane Or Playing Media?

Last night, there was a revealing interview on CBS-11 with Douglas Leguin. The interview took place in jail after he allegedly called Dallas police and fire and then shot at rescue personnel when they arrived on the scene. I just finished watching that interview and right now I'm not sure, if Leguin is insane or just crazy like a fox.

Business Is Great In Collin County Texas

There are few places in the United States that are more 'on fire' from a business standpoint than Collin County, Texas. The Dallas Cowboys are building their huge headquarters there and soon the corporate offices for Toyota (USA) will call Collin County home, as well. Business is good in the Dallas Fort Worth area in 2014. However, it is down right fantastic in McKinney, Plano and the other areas that make up Collin County.

Two Weeks Till McLane Stadium Debut

In a couple of weeks, the Baylor Bears football team will have a new stadium to play in. It's called McLane Stadium and it's looking very pretty sitting on the banks of the Brazos River in plain view of Interstate 35 in Waco. Hundreds of DFW residents will be making the 100-mile trip south to watch home games in this new stadium and I'm sure they will be impressed.

Did Dallas DA Watkins Break The Law?

In an exclusive report on WFAA Channel 8 last night, they investigated a traffic accident Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins was involved in over a year ago.
